Yesterday we were whallowing at Zwolle, in the mud that is! I remember "mud Bath" and this was equally bad. I bet the committee were sorry that they had taken the show to their own grounds instead of using the halls where the show has been held for many years. It was quite a new concept actually. The show site is on an industrial estate and much of the parking was provided by fellow building owners who were not working over the weekend. Thank goodness it was so because it allowed exhibitors to park on solid ground as the grass areas were rescue only! The first day of the show was held on Saturday when the rain was extremely heavy and half the judging was not under cover. Yesterday was the same but we were lucky to have sunshine. Outside the actual rings it was deep straw and mud and we should definitely have worn our wellies because the mud was to the top of our shoes. Yuck! The committee and judges always dress in evening wear for the ring of honour and so they were looking immaculate, the exhibitors looked like tramps and the dogs were made as clean as possible with the exception of their feet! Story over. I should add that we had a wonderful day winning 3 certificates and 2 BOB's!
