Looks like "igloo land" here! We got over a foot of snow yesterday -- Sally did the snowblowing and I did the shoveling. Another 7" or so (yeah, right!) on the forecast for tomorrow... Sally is SO glad she has the week off (NOT!) But... the dogs are in heaven!

I wonder if we might get some of that in a couple of weeks, we normally have the tail end of your weather. As long as the ground hardens up a bit I don't mind and the dogs will love it. My fields are waterlogged at the moment and I am so worried about the horses getting mud fever. I have put them on the highest paddock but even that is now looking as though it has been ploughed.
Be careful how you both go, we don't want any injuries especially if it is freezing as well.
Keep warm and safe. Jill xx

Have been wondering whether it hit you Maggie. Take care- no falls! I pray we don't get it. We arehouse hunting and if it snows we won't be able to get out or viewings get here.

A snowblower eh! When I wanted one in Sweden to shift 1/2 meter there wasn't one to be had anywhere in Europe. I was told that a blower was Ok for Scandinavia but not Uk as the snow was too wet to blow. Hope your snow is Scandinavian and not English type.

Any way hope you all cope with the snow...all the best for the new year.

Well, being that snowblowers are a hot winter item right now in Sally's line of business (power equipment), you have to know we have one which will shift all kinds of snow -- dry, wet, whatever! Put your order in and we'll ship one to you!

... and gas-powered leaf blowers are IDEAL for shifting dog hair after you've been grooming outdoors! ;-)

When Enid does our five, outside it looks like a local blizzard. She uses an American made dog blaster, never thought of using the leaf blower to move it next door though. Would be interesting to see what our French neighbors think of all this white fluffy stuff in the middle of Summer. Stay safe Maggie.

Well "apres blaster" (or blowers as we call them here), we use the leaf blower to push the remnants out toward the woods for the birds to enjoy and build nests with. No neighbors to worry about here, but the birds do seem to appreciate it. I've found a few nests out in the woods with Elkhound hair woven into them -- great insulation!
